Would You Erase The Memory of Your Ex If You Could???

If the answer is yes, then you may be in luck soon. According to the London Daily Mirror and the
New York Daily News, scientists are one step closer to creating a medication that could effectively erase recollections that are sad, embarrassing or otherwise unpleasant-kind of like they did it in the movie, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." In the movie, Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet were able to eradicate memories of their not so sweet affair by taking a pill, explains the Daily Mail.

Hmmm....my friend and I used to joke after we both went through HORRIBLE break-ups, that we wish we could erase that part of our memory like they did in the movie. Now that the opportunity may be presenting itself soon, I don't know how I feel about it. With my luck, I would wake up not remembering a damn thing at all. My name is what??? I have a son??? My father is not a wealthy white man from Malibu??? No thanks. I guess it would be kind of nice, but isn't part of growing as a human being going through tough times, learning from it, and becoming stronger because of it? I go back and forth with this one. If they could guarantee that they would erase ONLY the memories that I choose, then I would be all for it! Would you guys do it?

  2. ROTFL!!! LMFAOOoooOOOOoooo!!! AYO SIS!! I cannot believe you actually read that they are inventing the 'eternal sunshine...". wowwwser!!! yes i remember our conversation and we were saying alot after experiencing HORRID breakups. killing was the main one bt we took a less subtle approach and thought of 'eternal sunshine...". But you brought up a really important thought....if we erased all of the bad, sad, not so pleasant things that have happened to us in life, how would we ever learn as humans, not to go through the same things again? How would we grow as adults? Most of our wisdom comes from learning from our mistakes, seeing someone else go through it, or having something not so pleasant happen that us to make us realize that we do not want that for ourselves ever again. So my answer to your question...not 100% sure if I would take the pill, but it's always nice to have the OPTION! ;)
