Is There A Such Thing As "The One"?

This is an on-going debate amongst my friends and I. I have one friend who thinks that if he and a girl have a lot in common, it's just coincidence and if she turns out to be everything he's looking for, he just got lucky. It doesn't mean she's "The One". He thinks the whole theory is BS. Another friend of mines feels like there are too many women out here for there to ever be ONE for him. He says he finds the One every month. Then there's another one of my friends who has been in a committed relationship with the same person since she was 15 (she is now 29) and believes that there is one person out there for everyone that is their perfect match. She feels they just have to be patient enough to wait to cross paths. I'm not gonna state my opinion on this topic just yet. But I'm really interested in seeing what everyone's thoughts are on this topic. Do you think that in this world filled with billions of people, there is just ONE person out there that was made just for you?

  1. There is no such foolery as The One and anyone waiting for it should just stop the madness.

  2. Im gonna have to say no on this one. I am in a commited relationship right now, but I'm not really sure if I personally am meant to be with one person. I honestly come across people all the time that I can easily see myself being with, this is not to say that my hubby and I aren't compatible. And I love him with all my heart, but your other friend is right there are just too many people out here. It's hard as hell to remain faithful. I wish I could get him to consent to this open relationship thing so I wouldn't feel so guilty about this. Hey, he could still be my MAIN one. Lmao Maybe I should have wrote this under Anonymous.

  3. Yes I do believe that there is a such thing as the one. I think that I have had some good relationships and came across some wonderful people, but I haven't found the one yet. God intended for us to be with one person which is why initially created one man and one woman to be together. I think mines is out there.
