Zac Posen for Target
Zac Posen's Go International Collection will hit most Target stores and Target.com from April 25th through May 30th. I was just getting ready for the Rodarte line to hit Target on December 20th when I got this news. Happy???? Understatement! I'm glad designers are finally understanding this whole recession thing.

Diddy + HSN= $$$$$$$$$$$
Per NY Mag:
On November 30, beginning at the ripe hour of 11 p.m., the Home Shopping Network will be forever changed when P. Diddy hits the airwaves. Diddy will shill his Unforgivable and I Am King fragrances with the reported goal of selling $400,000 worth of merchandise, and showing the world fragrances can be sold on TV — or, at least, that if anyone can convince the public to buy scents they can't smell, Diddy can.
Say what you want about him, but this man is about his business....SERIOUS business. This is a very smart move on his part. Never watched HSN a day in my life, but I'll be tuning in. I guess their attempt at being "hip" is working. Lol

Nike iPhone App
I tried this out on my friends phone and it is so hot!! I need an iPhone....they really do have an app for everything :( I love this and I don't even really wear sneakers. You can browse sneakers by color, size, or style. It also has a photo matching feature, where you can find a photo of ANYTHING and it will pull up all the sneakers that match the color palette of your photo. Check out the video below:
Forever 21 Launches Makeup Line
The "Love and Beauty" collection carries just about everything. Pressed powder, lip gloss, eye shadow, mascara, etc. Like the clothes, the prices are extremely reasonable with nothing being priced over $5 from what I can see. In my book, that means its worth a try.

Upgrade: Meagan Good
Meagan Good tried some new looks for a shoot she's doing for Krave Magazine. Me likey. But is it me, or does it seem like everyone is trying to be "edgy" right now? Oh well.... either way she looks great! I'm happy she finally tried something different. You can check out all of the photos at the source here.

Booooored!!!!! I need new hair :(
I've been thinking about adding a crazy color to my hair for a long time now (I was thinking a bright red maybe? Or blue! lol), but couldn't figure out exactly how to do it. If done wrong, you have the potential of looking really trashy. I came across this pic of Misa Hylton at Diddy's B-day Bash and she got it 100% right! Somehow she still makes it look classy. I love it!!!! I want it!!!!

Mini Geek: Stella McCartney for GapKids!
Stella McCartney designed a line of clothing for GapKids, and I really like the collection. I think my son would like a lot of the pieces, and won't feel "lame" as he always says after I dress him in the morning. Smh I hope more designers follow suit and partner with stores to create more affordable collections for kids. *crosses fingers* Check out the pieces below.

CoverGirl is GENIUS!!!
I have tried and failed miserably to create the smokey eye over the years. It's like I instantly became dyslexic whenever I tried to take in anything about achieving this look. No matter how many tutorials and explanations I got, I just couldn't get it. Now CoverGirl has come up with a GENIUS product that helps you create the look in two very easy steps. It comes in several different colors from silver to purple and only cost $8.49 (yessssss!!!). After years of trying, it finally looks like its gonna happen for me *tear* I'll make sure to post pics and reviews when I get them. You can order them at drugstore.com for a limited time only, it launches everywhere in the spring. Check out the video by clicking here.

Getting The Job in Style
When interviewing for positions in a more corporate atmosphere, it is always best to stick to suits, or basic separates (for example: button-ups, skirt or pants and a cardigan). Black, navy, and gray are usually the recommended colors. I tend to have a problem with this look, so to make myself feel better I try to add little pops of color in my accessories or carry a bold colored bag to off set the neutrals. Makeup, hair and nails should also be clean and neutral.
When interviewing for more creative fields such as fashion, you get to show a little bit more of your personality. You can play with colors a little more, etc. But you have to remember that it is still an interview, and you have to maintain an image of professionalism. You still have to maintain that balance, which can be challenging at times but it can still be done. I personally think that stores like Ann Taylor and Club Monaco have that balance down to a science, so you can check out their sites for more ideas.
It's really tough out here for everyone in this economy, so if you're in the process of looking for a job and interviewing, I wish you the best of luck :)
